July Astrology - Collapse Leads To Restructure
I want to begin this month’s energy report by inviting you to anchor into your breath. Become aware of your breath and how deeply you are breathing into the base of your spine. Many people (especially women), take shallow breaths, barely breathing deeper than their upper abdomen. As we move into extraordinary change, both individually and collectively, we need to remain present with our breath and make sure we are allowing our breath to travel all the way down our spine into our perineum.
Because the Root Chakra is tied to survival, we tend to clench or tighten the muscles in our pelvic floor when our survival and safety feel threatened. Going into the terrain of the unknown can feel like a threat to our safety, and most times, our bodies pay the price when we are not regulating our breath.
When our body locks up, there is a cascade effect that happens, and our brains will respond with looping thoughts, worry, rumination, or preparing for the worst. This causes intense feelings of dread, disbelief, and dissociation. When we are able to breathe into the base of our spine, it signals to the body that all is well, no matter what is happening in our external environment.
Mars Conjunct Uranus in Gemini– July 4, 2026
On our nation’s birthday, Mars will be conjunct Uranus in Gemini. I could write an entire blog just around this alignment, but because there are so many moving parts beginning in July, I would be doing a disservice to the other potent astrological alignments that are to come later in the month. Let’s break down what it means to have Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini.
Mars is known best as the planet of war and aggression, because when it comes to the forefront, there are typically some big shake-ups. But Mars is also known for its courage, ambition, and motivation. It drives change in big ways that often feel very uncomfortable.
Uranus is the planet of “great awakening.” It brings sudden change, rebellion, and innovation, especially around technology and our desire for freedom. Uranus shatters old structures to force growth and push us toward our authentic, individual paths.
When these two planets meet in Gemini, the sign of communication, media, education, networks, and duality, we face the potential for monumental change. We could see an increase in independent journalism that explores the truth of what’s going on, as an increase in skepticism toward institutional narratives has arisen within the collective, especially since COVID.
We could also see some shifts in perception towards AI. Instead of asking “Should we use AI?” we start to ask, “How can AI be used more responsibly?” It is my hope that we see some regulation around the use of AI that mimics real people, using their bodies and voice in ways that are not true to who they are, or AI being used in mainstream media, portraying itself as real, when in fact it is not.
Because this potent alignment is happening on the 250th birthday of the USA, there has been widespread speculation that we could see a major “fall of an empire,” as we’ve noticed a cycle that happens every 250 years of empires built on greed, collapsing. I think we can all feel the ground shaking underneath the feet of the US government and its connections to large corporate entities that feed off the population of US citizens, and bleed out into countries across the globe.
This July 4th, we could begin to see the rubble fall (metaphorically and potentially physically) of the US government structures. No matter what happens, it is needed for the evolution of the human species as we experience monumental upgrades happening within our DNA. If you feel your nervous system preparing for a hit, anchor into your breath, and know that everything is happening for the highest good of the planet.
New Moon in Cancer – July 14, 2026
Just as soon as the energy settles from the Mars conjunct Uranus alignment, we are welcomed with a sweet reminder of where home is as the New Moon in Cancer happens overhead. With each New Moon, we are invited to set our intention on what we want to see from this moon cycle. Because the New Moon is in Cancer, there is a yearning within us to connect with what connects us with home.
Home can mean many things. It could be your primary residence where you live, it could be where you grew up, but most of all, home is where the heart is – inside your body. Our bodies are our home. It’s the one home that we cannot move out of. It cannot be taken from us. We don’t pay a mortgage or rent to live here, and we are welcome at any time.
When I think of our bodies, I simultaneously think of our home here on Earth. The systems make us pay to live here, but at the core of it, the Earth demands nothing of us. She allows us to walk on her grounds no matter how much money we have, no matter what our status is, and no matter who we are. The Earth provides a deep, unconditional love to us all, which, unfortunately, many of us take for granted.
But as we’ve seen, when the Earth has had enough, she will react. At first she will knock softly, but if we ignore the knocks, eventually she will shift to sirens, sounding the alarm in ways we cannot ignore. As we witness more and more natural disasters around the world, we are being reminded by our Mother that she has the ultimate say, and she could take us out as quickly as she brought us in. She carries an ancient wisdom that she has graciously shared with us through our DNA, and she is here to remind us of that wisdom now.
With this New Moon, we could see shifts in home and family, national identity and security, food systems, emotional foundations, and homeland concerns. This could spotlight housing issues, immigration discussions, family policies, domestic security, environmental concerns, and will most certainly bring deep emotional healing to our collective.
In the past, many of us turned a blind eye to these issues, as it felt “outside of our jurisdiction,” but now, as the human species evolves, we are recognizing that whatever happens to our planet, happens to us. We are not separate from each other. As trees are torn down, our oxygen supply is cut down with it. As oceans are poisoned, the water we drink becomes poisoned. As the nutrients in our soil deplete, our health declines. There is a ripple effect that happens to all of us as our Earth’s resources are depleted, and none of us are immune to these events. We must change if we are to continue to live on this planet, and I think we can all feel it on a cellular level.
Saturn Retrograde in Aries – July 26, 2026
Summing all of this up, Saturn retrogrades in Aries – bringing a reality check to the collective. Saturn governs institutions, governments, authority, laws, and structure, bringing opportunities for accountability. Because this retrograde happens in Aries, Saturn will be restructuring leadership, military, and defense, and the way power is exercised overall.
Saturn is roughly 9.5x the size of Earth, and is the second-largest planet in our solar system. When Saturn comes onto the scene, it does not play – especially when it sits in Aries. And because it is retrograde (reverse motion), this could bring up some unwanted miscommunications and delays. But it also brings us into a review of past situations.
For a moment, I want to discuss how Saturn has often been worshipped within cultures and systems around the world for thousands of years, because I think this plays a large part in this particular alignment. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, so as Saturn retrogrades in Aries, we are taken back to the “beginning.”
In Vedic astrology, Saturn is personified as Lord Shani, an overseer of karma and justice who is worshipped to mitigate misfortune and reward righteous behavior. Saturn is known as “the great teacher” in classical astrology and Hermeticism and is called the “Lord of Karma” because it governs structure, boundaries, lessons, physical limitations, and most notably, time. In Kabbalistic traditions and Western occultism, Saturn is associated with Binah, the third sphere on the Tree of Life, representing understanding and the containment of divine light. In Christian astrology, Saturn is typically viewed as the celestial symbol for the "Great Teacher," representing divine boundaries, testing, and spiritual maturity.
Some modern occult theories focus on the unusual hexagonal storm at Saturn's north pole, often called the "Black Cube of Saturn." These theories suggest symbolic connections between Saturn, certain religious traditions, and systems of power. From an archetypal perspective, a cube often represents matter and physical reality, structure and order, boundaries and limitation, and manifestation into the material world. I can’t help but think about the AllSpark in the Transformer movies.
Some believe Saturn represents a force that keeps humanity focused on the material world, time, and obligation rather than spiritual freedom. While these ideas are controversial and not widely accepted, they have become an important topic within some alternative spiritual communities, which view Saturn as both a teacher and a symbol of the structures that shape human experience.
This is very important for us to know, and many of us have no knowledge of it. These practices of worship have been used by our government and corporate systems for a very long time. We can even see a modern manifestation of this in CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research), the world's largest particle physics laboratory located near Geneva, Switzerland. CERN operates the Large Hadron Collider, a massive scientific instrument that accelerates and collides particles to study the fundamental building blocks of matter and better understand the nature of the universe. Some people view CERN's experiments as symbolically connected to humanity's exploration of time, space, and the unseen forces that shape reality.
Within spiritual and highly sensitive person (HSP) communities, some individuals have reported noticing energetic shifts, unusual dreams, heightened emotions, or changes in their physical sensations during periods when CERN conducts major experiments or collider runs. They are quite literally affecting the natural vibrations and frequencies of the Earth and the magnetic fields that surround us.
As Saturn is in retrograde in Aries, I believe we are being invited to reevaluate these structures and how astrology has been used by influential institutions to establish control over the population. There is a reason why there has been a narrative spread that astrology and metaphysics are “woo-woo” or dangerous. If we are not educated, we are not a threat. Our ignorance feeds their power.
But because Pluto is in Aquarius, education is taking the forefront, and we are opening up to acknowledging the shadow that permeated and controlled our minds, bodies, and systems. We are seeing that some conspiracy theories are not theories, but the truth, and we are being faced with a choice to look it straight in its face or to continue to keep our attention turned towards the distractions.
For those who are aware of these patterns, please do not be discouraged when you see others turn the other way. We cannot force their eyes open, and we cannot change anyone’s beliefs. To challenge someone’s beliefs it to challenge their safety, and we don’t want to do that. We want to encourage safety, and the best way to do that is to operate from our hearts. Offer compassion, offer camaraderie, offer stillness. The more we can anchor into our breath and find our own place of calm, the more we can offer this calmness to others. The stress is what drains our energy, not our beliefs. If you want to help those around you, help them preserve their energy, but remember to ground yourself first. If you come in stressed, they will react to that stress with you.
Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Three deep breaths can change your whole day.
