Sometimes things happen in our life that make us question everything about who we are. Some hurts go so deep, there is no way to put it into words. This is why I love art. This piece came from grief so deep, I could barely keep standing - let alone talk about it. This piece was a way for me to put this indescribable feeling into physical form. With this release, I was able to speak more clearly about the pain rippling over my life, and find empowerment from it. Instead of keeping this feeling of being “ripped apart” inside of my body, I moved it out - with a brush and paint.
This is healing.
